Well, it was straight!! Try looking 2” in front of the ball instead of looking forward. Focus on one blade of grass and swing away, good exercise!

Yall hit into a net with a real ball? I use wiffle balls and just concentrate on ballstriking… more or less for this exact reason

Get an impact panel. It’s made out of archery cloth. The net will just be backup, the majority of shits will go into the panel which can take a beating. I’ve probably sent 2k+ balls into mine just minor wear/tear.
